PAPIRIUS becomes a member of the
OFFICE DEPOT goup

PAPIRIUS, a Central and East Europe-based supplier of office equipment with more than 540 employees and a turnover of CZK 1.3 billion, became a member of the OFFICE DEPOT multinational corporation as of 1 September, 2006. PAPIRIUS will continue in its current activities under the leadership of its founders, Jan Černý and Petr Sýkora. "From our strategic viewpoint, Office Depot is an ideal partner. We are joining a strong international group which will enable us to provide our customers with even better services than to date," said Petr Sýkora.

The OFFICE DEPOT Group is a major office equipment supplier on a worldwide scale. The group was founded in the USA in 1986. Today, it is present in 37 countries and employs some 50,000 people all over the world. Its turnover amounts to USD 15 billion.
